In order to keep your door and looking and operating like new, it is important to service and re-seal your door on a continual basis. To improve the longevity of your door and prevent potential hazards (which could cause serious injury), a major service should be completed annually, with general maintenance in between services.

To maintain the stunning appearance of your cedar garage door (and all cedar products in general), your door should be re-sealed every 2-3 years or when your door appears to lose it gloss and become dull. It is a lot cheaper and easier for you to get your door resealed before the sealant starts to peel or flake, and like most things, general maintenance and care will significantly increase the life span of your product.

Please note that doors close to the ocean or river may beed to be serviced and re-sealed more regularly due to the extreme weather and high salt content in the air.
